The title of the conference is “Real Estate 4.0”, to reflect what is being labelled ‘the fourth industrial revolution’, and will explore the impact of cyber-physical systems on the real estate sector, which has traditionally been seen as a slow adopter of technology. Through its established international network of real estate leaders, ULI will bring an extraordinary array of industry experts to discuss new concepts and business models, sharing best practice from around the world with those involved in the Greek property industry,
The opening keynote speaker is Sharon Landes-Fischer (Director of Strategy, Tel Aviv Global), who will highlight Tel Aviv’s experience of positioning “smart” cities through synergizing of its tourist attractions and business offers. Three panel discussions follow focusing on each of the new economies, including:
- the sharing economy, and whether sharing working and living space is what millennials want;
- the experience economy, and whether the property industry needs to think at an experiential level to reach its audience, investors, or guests to improve value and marketability; and,
- the innovation economy, looking at how artificial intelligence, big data, clean tech and wellness are transforming our sector.
Tassos Kotzanastassis, who is Managing Director of 8G Capital Partners and Chair of ULI Greece and Cyprus, said: “I am very proud that Athens will be hosting our first ever National Annual Conference and that we have attracted such a star lineup of speakers to discuss an issue that is on the minds of everyone involved in the real estate industry. Thanks to our sponsors, we have been able to deliver a programme that will be of great value to anyone involved in property, whether they are making the key decisions in the board rooms or just starting a career in the sector.”
