IESE Business School in Barcelona will be the venue for the Autumn Young Leaders’ event scheduled to take place on the 15th and 16th October. The theme will be: ‘Unlocking Opportunity, Looking for Value in Complex Markets. Focus: Spain (Myths & Realities)’. Speakers will include José Luis Suárez of IESE Business School, Pere Viñola, CEO, Inmobiliaria Colonial and Eduard Mendiluce of Catalunya Caixa.
Young Leaders from across Europe will gather to hear presentations debunking the myths and reinforcing the realities of the economy and the financial sector in Spain. A series of case studies will include a cycling tour of Poblenou and a visit to the Barca stadium (Camp Nou). Other sessions will focus on alternative strategies for investment and a number of workshops will take place throughout the two-day conference.
Land management and property funds will be the subjects under discussion at ULI’s sessions at Barcelona Meeting Point on 17th October. Professor Andrew Baum, ULI Academic Fellow and Honorary Professor of Real Estate Investment at the University of Cambridge will present the findings of a recent ULI study in to the performance of core and opportunity funds and the drivers of fund performance.
A panel of industry experts including Ramon Roger, Chair of ULI Barcelona and Enrique Martinez Laguna, Managing Director, CBRE will then debate the opportunities and threats of land management in the current environment.
