Optiml wins the PropTech Innovation Challenge European Final 2024
The Urban Land Institute (ULI) has announced that Optiml, a provider of an AI-powered SaaS solution that empowers asset managers, investors, and their consultancies decarbonize their existing building stock, is the overall winner of the inaugural PropTech Innovation Challenge (PIC) 2024. The winner was revealed during the C Change Summit in Barcelona.

Voltfang produces environmentally friendly and profitable battery storage systems from 2nd-life batteries for SMEs and industry. In-Country Winner: Iberia (Spain & Portugal)
CoCircular has developed a Saas technology (360º advisor ) that enables our clients (construction companies, developers, real estate funds, companies, renewable energy companies, etc.) to have 100 digitised, circular and traceable waste management, guaranteeing the recovery of more than 70% of the waste required by the new waste law (we currently achieve 91% for our clients). Our technology has mapped most of the waste management companies and qualified them according to criteria such as quality, sustainability and proximity. We also accompany our customers with a consultancy service to design the waste separation protocol and monitor the entire process, certifying the percentage of waste that becomes secondary raw material and advising them all along the journey. The tool not only significantly reduces the time and associated costs of waste management, but also provides multiple metrics of positive environmental impact, which is of great benefit to our customers in meeting the most demanding international environmental certifications and improving their sustainability and circular economy strategy.

In-Country Winner: United Kingdom and Ireland
Symphony Energy is a leading climate tech innovator, offering the industry’s first breakthrough technology proven to achieve Paris Proof 2050 energy efficiency targets. Their scalable and cost-effective solutions are designed to optimise HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) systems in both new and existing buildings.

In-Country Winner: France
ISOL’ en Paille, a company which produces and sells local bio-based insulation blocks made from straw for building construction. A collective and circular project, the low-tech solution focuses on the environmental transition of buildings, enabling the use of ecological insulation products without reinventing standards or developing new construction systems. The second stage of the project is to develop a commercial network coupled to an industrial process in order to produce locally the same products for local projects.
