    Maria Grazia Magro

    Dr. Maria Grazia Magro has a background in molecular cell biology and over ten years of experience in basic research and science management at top-tier international research institutes. She holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Naples Federico II (Naples, Italy) and a PhD in Cell Biology from the Max Planck International Research School for Biomedicine and Bioengineering and TU Dresden (Dresden, Germany). From 2012 to 2014 he worked at the Paul Langerhans Institute in Dresden, managing research projects in the area of pancreatic beta cell biology. From 2014 to 2018, Dr. Magro worked in strategy development and analysis at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), a world-renowned center of excellence for life sciences research and services. In this role, he supported and advised the Director General in a range of strategic and operational activities, including strategic planning and communication, performance monitoring, reporting and science policy analysis. She joined the Human Technopole team in February 2019, as Head of Strategy and Scientific Affairs, managing activities in the areas of science strategy, institutional policy and scientific management and administration.

    DEE NI TAYLOR EXEC UTI VE VICE PRESI DENT Profile As Executive Vice President, Deeni works with physicians and hospitals in understanding the intricacies of the hospital’s goals and objectives regarding their physicians and real estate. With his 25-year hospital career in forging and nurturing these relationships, Deeni’s wealth of knowledge and experience are of great assistance on each development project. Deeni came to the Healthcare group after serving as Chief Strategy Officer for St. Vincent Health, an Ascension Health system of 16 hospitals serving 45 counties in central Indiana. Before joining St. Vincent Health, Taylor was president of UNITY Health Management Services in Birmingham, Alabama. He also worked for St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, as Vice President of Planning and Marketing.     Fabrizio Gemmi

    Head, Quality & Equity Unit, Regional Health Agency of Tuscany

    Born in Florence, Italy, in 1962. MD with postgraduate qualification in Haematology (1992) and in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine (2001). Adjunct Professor of Quality systems in Healthcare at Scuola di Specializzazione in Igiene e Medicina Preventiva, Università of Florence. Author or coauthor of 31 scientific articles in peer reviewed journals, 25 books or chapters; 23 scientific articles in non-peer reviewed journals; 13 articles in online magazines. Current job: Quality and Equity Unit Supervisor at Tuscany Region govenative Agency, since 2017. Previous professional positions: Medical Director at Pisa University Hospital (third level teaching hospital, National Healthcare System); Medical Director at Florence South East Hospital institution (general hospital, Florence Local Healthcare Trust, National Healthcare System).     Tim Fry

    Business Leader | Science UKIMEA, Arup

    Tim leads the science business area, across the UKIMEA region for ARUP. He leads on strategy and business development, maintains relationships with clients and manages a portfolio of projects. Tim is a chartered engineer and experienced team leader, having led multi-discipline teams in delivering engineering solutions on complex highly serviced life science buildings from concept design phases through to fully coordinated detail design and construction. He has been involved in science buildings from his first project over 27 years ago, working on the design and construction of a facility to produce injectable vaccines. As well as other manufacturing experience Tim has been involved in the design of many research and development laboratories for a range of science users and scales of project. These have been for private clients, government institutes and higher education establishments. Tim thrives in solving client’s challenges bringing a wealth of experience to provide robust, energy efficient and sustainable design solutions, applying his knowledge of construction, commissioning and maintenance.

    Simone Santi

    Origination Director - Europe and UK, LENDLEASE SERVICES (ITALY) S.R.L.

    Simone has over 15 years’ experience in the property development industry in international markets. Responsible for leading the development of commercial assets over Lendlease’s Italian portfolio. Joined Lendlease in 2014 and has held various senior management positions within the UK and Italy, ranging from business development to product development, client engagement and product delivery. As of March 2018 he has been appointed head of offices development within the Italian business of Lendlease, headquartered in Milan. In his previous role at Lendlease in London, he acted as development director within the commercial office development business to enhance and expand Lendlease’s office pipeline. The main focus of the mandate was on The International Quarter, the Lendlease commercial development within the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, enhancing the existing masterplan, developing commercial assets, leading tenant engagement and negotiations and working in tandem with our capital solutions team to secure funding and exit strategies. Prior to that he has been part of the Lendlease new business team in London, focusing efforts on exploring and securing large scale urban regeneration opportunities, mainly in London. Prior to the above, he has been a pivotal member of the Brookfield Office Properties team in London, with a remit focused on establishing an important presence within the City of London commercial property arena.

    Laura Carrara Cagni

    Founding Director, Cagni Williams Associates

    As co-founder of Cagni Williams, Laura works with Edward on all projects. Laura establishes solutions that provide a singular architectural identity, forging strong relationships between interior and exterior spaces. Laura has leads the design of projects using her strong management skills and has extensive experience of projects in the civic and culture, education, health and residential sectors. Laura speaks at universities and conferences as a leader in innovative architecture, both in the UK and worldwide. She is often asked to be a juror for architectural and contemporary art awards. She has been a reviewer at the ILAUD, enjoys writing and was published in Space and Society amongst other publications. Laura currently served as executive board director of the Business Club Italia in London and served as non-executive board director at Gancia in Italy, and oversaw its sale. She is a committed champion for the development of better future healthcare and life science as member of the Urban Land institute (ULI), as Co-Chair of the ULI Europe Life Science and Healthcare Product Council after a six year membership of the ULI USA Healthcare and Life Science Product Council. Over the course of her 30 year career she has delivered many important projects for Cagni Williams including our New Courtyard housing in Stratford, East London, and the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Birmingham. In 2019 she joined the Midland Metropolitan Arts Committee, Birmingham. Her other major healthcare, cultural and residential schemes around the globe include Le Musée des Beaux Arts and the GSI Engineering University building in Nancy, Le Musée Andre’ Malraux, Le Havre in France, two new colleges and the implementation of the south residential colleges masterplan for Rice University in Houston Texas, USA, a residential development in Dubai, UAE, and the new La Spezia Hospital in Italy, while working with Laurent and Emmanuelle Baudouin Architectes in Nancy and later with Hopkins Architects in London as Project Director. Laura received a EU COMETT scholarship in 1993, an International Laboratory of Architecture and Design(ILAUD) scholarship in Siena in 1991, and her Architecture Diploma in 1992 at Genova University in Italy. Laura speaks English, Italian, French and Spanish.
