We are delighted to welcome Dan O'Connor, Head of Hotels & Living at JLL Ireland, who brings over 18 years of experience in varying real estate roles across Ireland and the UK.

Throughout his career, Dan has held numerous roles at JLL, both in the firm’s Dublin and London offices. At 39, Dan is the youngest senior director / board member in JLL Ireland and the only director who currently manages multiple business lines.

Dan’s journey:

• Dan’s has an entrepreneurial family background which includes tourism, hostels and even a chip shop - to this day he is a director of Wicklow Bay Hostel Limited;

• A pupil of De La Salle in Wicklow Town, he subsequently graduated with a degree in Property Economics from DIT Bolton Street (now TUD);

• He started his real estate career as a graduate in JLL Ireland in 2007;

• He moved to JLL London in 2010, spending 3 years in the firms Hanover Square and Warwick Street offices, becoming a VP in JLL’s the EMEA hotels transaction team;

• In 2014, Dan returned home and established JLL’s Ireland hotel transaction business, which has built a reputation as a market leader in hotel brokerage / M&A in Ireland;

• More recently, Dan has expanded his remit into other living sectors, including PRS / BTR, where his residential team manages numerous high quality apartment developments on behalf of major international and institutional clients.
