    ULI Netherlands launches the summer season with the Annual Conference 2025. Mark your calendar for Wednesday 28 May. The conference takes place at Cinema the Pulse, a cutting-edge circular building in Amsterdam. 

    Theme 

    In these dynamic times with geopolitical shifts, technological innovations, urbanization, and climate change, the real estate sector plays an important role in shaping healthy cities for healthy communities. This year the conference will be centred around the theme of Healthy Cities. Aligning with ULI's vision for resilient, sustainable, and inclusive urban environments, we will address the topic in the broadest sense. 

    Confirmed speakers include: 

    • Mayor Jeroen Dijsselbloem of Eindhoven
    • Jette Cathrin Hopp, Director of Acquisition and Business Development at Snøhetta
    • Astrid Schluter, CEO at Vesteda
    • Leslie Johnston, CEO, Laudes Foundation

    Programme   
    The event starts at 11h with a welcoming coffee, and runs till 17h, followed by networking drinks till 19h. The program includes plenary sessions with our speakers, smaller breakout sessions and the possibility to get a tour of the building. The event will foster open dialogue, feature keynote presentations, and offer smaller sessions with real estate and urban development leaders from the Netherlands and beyond, backed by the ULI global network of over 45,000 members. 

    Some of the presentations will be held in English and some in Dutch. Real time translation will be available via an app for those who do not speak Dutch or English.

    Payment Terms: 

    • All bookings must be paid for in advance of the event
    • Invoice payment terms strictly 30 days from the issue date of the invoice
    • If your booking is less than 30 days before the event or payment has not been received by this date, you will be asked to settle the account before being permitted to enter the event
    • Please ensure that your accounts team is aware of our terms to avoid any delays to your on-site registration

    Cancellation/Refund Policy: 

    • Written cancellation and refund requests received at ULI at least 30 days prior to the event will be awarded a full refund minus a €50 processing fee
    • No refunds will be given for cancellation requests received from 28 April 2025
    • Registration may be transferred to another member of your organization who is eligible to attend. If necessary, fee adjustments will be made based on ULI membership status
    • Verbal requests for cancellations and refunds will not be accepted: all requests must be made in writing to [email protected]

    Keynote Speaker

    Jeroen Dijsselbloem

    Mayor of Eidenhoven, Eindhoven Municipality

    Jeroen Dijsselbloem (1966) is burgemeester van zijn geboortestad Eindhoven. Vanuit die functie is hij onder andere voorzitter van Stichting Brainport, Metropoolregio Eindhoven en Veiligheidsregio Brabant-Zuidoost. Dijsselbloem was voorheen minister van Financiën (2012-2017), voorzitter van de Eurogroep (2013-2018) en voorzitter van de Raad van Gouverneurs van het Europese Stabiliteitsmechanisme (ESM). Hij studeerde economie aan de Landbouwuniversiteit Wageningen. Na een loopbaan als o.a. beleidsadviseur voor de Tweede Kamerfractie van de PvdA en ambtenaar bij het ministerie van LNV werd hij in 2000 Kamerlid.

    Jette Hopp

    Director of Acquisition & Business Development, Snøhetta

    Growing up multilingual with Norwegian, German and Danish, Jette Cathrin Hopp studied Architecture in the masterclass of Prof. Peter Cook and Prof. Enric Miralles at the Städelschule - Academy of Fine Arts. She is Snøhetta`s director for acquisition and new projects in Europe and UK and part of the executive management of Snøhetta Oslo. Jette has extensive experience in complex both Norwegian and international projects, leading major international project developments and competitions. She regularly lectures at architectural symposia, conferences , international institutions and universities, sharing Snøhetta´s philosophy and design ideas. She is also a jury chair for several architecture competitions and prizes. Jette Hopp is a member of the board of trustees of the Schelling Architecture Foundation and appointed president of the jury for the Italian Architecture Prize in 2021. As a critic, Jette Cathrin Hopp is regularly invited to architecture universities worldwide. She holds a teaching position at the University of Technology and Design, Wismar and is the studio director for Snøhetta Venice Studio, the annual summer school programme. Jette is appointed Member of the Oslo City Architecture Council, Oslo Kommune, Norway and Chair of the Advisory Council on Urban Planning of Kiel Municipality, Germany. Examples of her experience are her role as team leader for the museum project at the King Abdul Aziz Center for Knowledge and Culture in Dharhan, Saudi Arabia, for the Norwegian State Opera and State Ballet in Oslo, Project Director for the Elbtower in Hamburg; Operntower Düsseldorf, Centre Monnaie "OXY" in Brussels, the Roshen Concert Hall in Kiev, as well as piloting sustainability projects in Norway such as Powerhouse One in Trondheim and the concept phase of Powerhouse Kjørbo in Sandvika, the world's first refurbished positive energy building.

    Astrid Schlüter

    COO, Vesteda

    Astrid Schlüter has been CEO of Vesteda since April 3, 2024. Previously, she was director of operations (COO) at Vesteda for eight years. In September 2013, Astrid started her career at Vesteda as Director Property Management. Before that, she worked for many years at Jacobus Recourt in various management positions. Astrid is an econometrician and after her studies she followed a post-graduate course to become a register controller. "My heart lies in the real estate sector. My core quality is to work together on tangible results from a common vision. In my role as director, I strive for a healthy mix of financial performance, social return and people-oriented leadership."

    Leslie Johnston

    CEO, Laudes Foundation

    As its founding CEO, Leslie Johnston leads the development and execution of Laudes Foundation’s strategy to deliver on its mission to accelerate the transition to a green, fair and inclusive economy. Leslie currently serves on the boards of ImpactEurope (formerly the European VenturePhilanthropy Association) as Chair, Fashion for Good BV, Built by Nature Stichting (as ViceChair), Climate Resilience for All as well as University College London’s Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose Advisory Board. She is also a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on the Future of Philanthropy for Climate and Nature. Leslie has over 25 years of management experience across business, entrepreneurship, development, and philanthropy. Previously, she headed C&A Foundation as its first Executive Director, repositioning it as a global catalyst to make fashion a force for good. She served as Executive Director of the Argidius Foundation, Deputy Director for TechnoServe in Africa and a management consultant for McKinsey & Company. Leslie lives in Zug, Switzerland with her husband and two teenage sons.
