    ULI UK REIT Seminar 2025

    The annual ULI UK REIT Seminar returns on October 14th 2025, kindly hosted by Ernst & Young.

    As part of the ULI UK Capital Markets programme, this seminar is our annual review of the state of the UK REIT market. There will be plenty of opportunity for participation from the audience.

    Michael Gaughan

    EY London

    Michael Gaughan is a Partner in the real estate tax team at EY, with a specialism in REITs. He advises some of the largest listed REITs in the UK, alongside a large number of institutional and fund-owned REITs. This practice covers transactional and advisory matters. Michael is a regular speaker at various EY and external events.

    Grainger Plc

    Thomas Grounds is Grainger’s Head of Research, working across the business to ensure market-intelligence is embedded at every level. Formerly a research strategist and investment manager at a large sovereign investor, and partner in the research team at Strutt & Parker, Tom has been providing research and advice in the real estate investment sector for over 15 years.

    Madeleine Cosgrave

    Independent Non-Executive Director, Shaftesbury Capital

    Madeleine Cosgrave is a senior advisor and Non-Executive Director. She is an experienced investor and board member. Madeleine is an Independent Non-Executive Director on the Board of Shaftesbury Capital PLC, an independent member of CBRE IM’s EMEA Investment Committee, a senior advisor to ICG Real Estate and a former Non-Executive Director of Landsec. Madeleine is former Head of Europe for GIC Real Estate (Singapore’s Sovereign Wealth fund) where she spent over 20 years. She was Regional Head from 2016 until July 2021, responsible for investment strategy, capital allocation, portfolio performance and team. Having invested in traditional real estate, funds, public and private equity and real estate credit, she has experience across the capital stack as well as in multiple sectors; including logistics, office, retail, BTR, student and hospitality. She is passionate about diversity and inclusion and is a volunteer mentor for IntoUniversity and GAIN – Girls Are Investors. Prior to GIC, Madeleine spent 10 years at JLL, joining the graduate scheme in London with some of that time spent working in Sydney. Madeleine studied Land Economy at Cambridge University. She is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, former chair of the INREV Investor Platform and founding member of the ICSC Diversity Steering Committee.

    Henry Stratton

    Head of Research, Tritax Group

    Henry joined Tritax in November 2021 as Head of Research. He is responsible for research across all of the Tritax managed funds. He has over 20 years’ experience within the real estate and finance sector. Previous roles include Real Estate Research at EY and working on the European Real Estate Research team at Deutsche Bank (RREEF). He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds an MSc in Real Estate Investment from Bayes Business School and BSc in Geography.

    Tom Walker

    Co-Head of Global Listed Real Assets, Schroders

    Tom Walker is Co-Head of Global Listed Real Assets at Schroders, and is responsible for the management of both the Digital Infrastructure and Global Cities strategy. Tom joined Schroders in 2014 and is based in London. Tom was a Deputy Head of Global Listed Real Estate at AMP Capital from 2005 to 2014, which involved being responsible for investment, team management and client relationships. He was in the Valuation, Funds Management, Advisory departments at Jones Lang LaSalle from 1999 to 2005, located in both London and Sydney.

    Alison Lambert

    CFO/ COO, Martley Capital Real Estate Investment Management Limited

    Alison Lambert is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Martley Capital Group, where she oversees Finance, Capital Markets, Listed Markets, and Operations. She plays a central role in shaping the firm’s financial strategy and operational performance. Prior to joining Martley Capital, Alison was Head of Finance – Listed Markets at M7 Real Estate, leading Finance and Accounting and coordinating with advisors, non-executive directors, and internal teams. Before that, she served as Head of Finance, Europe at Oxford Properties, where she led the regional finance team and held governance roles including Executive Director in Luxembourg and Internal Audit Liaison with OMERS. Alison began her career at KPMG, where she was a Director in Transaction Services, advising on real estate, public sector, and infrastructure deals. She holds a BSc in Biochemistry from Royal Holloway, University of London, is a Fellow of the ICAEW, and is Chair Elect of CREFCE. She also sits on the Policy & Campaigns Committee for Real Estate Balance and is a Trustee of Book Clubs in Schools.
