Chantal Clavier is a Partner and Head of Heidrick & Struggles’ Real Estate Practice for Europe and Africa, based in the London office. She is also a member of the Board & CEO Practice, enhancing boards for listed/private property companies and real estate private equity operating platforms.

As a real estate specialist, she has a deep knowledge of the market, its trends and cycles. Chantal has been instrumental in assessing and placing key senior executives at board and executive committee levels throughout her 18 years in executive search.

Chantal has operated across the whole sector undertaking searches and assessments for property companies (both public and private including landed estates and the public sector); investment banks, fund, and investment managers (including private equity, sovereign wealth funds, pension plans); family offices, corporate owners/occupiers and operating platforms (in particular, retail, consumer, industrial and alternatives); and professional service providers across EMEA.

Her breadth of experience and unique track record across both real estate finance and “brick and mortar” real estate (the built environment and real assets), enables Chantal to provide a more holistic approach to search, advising her clients with creative and innovative solutions and helping to drive change through talent.

Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Chantal re-established and grew the real estate practice in Europe for another global, listed search firm, working for a multitude of clients who invested, developed, and asset managed property globally, regionally and locally. As such, Chantal has delivered searches across all functional areas . Prior to this, she worked for a specialist boutique in real estate, having spent her earlier career with Cable & Wireless in Sydney, covering corporate real estate Australasia.

Chantal is a member of the Urban Land Institute and a committee member for Real Estate Balance (gender diversity) in the UK. She is an active speaker and ambassador for the industry and an advisor to real estate business leaders on talent, development and organisational culture. Chantal holds a bachelor of arts degree in business management and corporate law from Leeds University.
