    Jörn Walter

    HafenCity University and former Chief Planning Director, City of Hamburg

    Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Jörn Walter (*1957) was from 1999-2017 Chief Urban Planning and Building Director of the Free and Hanseatic City Hamburg and from 1991-1999 Head of the City Planning Department, Dresden. He studied Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Dortmund and was in 1997 and 1998 Visiting Professor at the Technical Universities of Vienna and Dresden. From 2001-2014 he was Honorary Professor at the University of Fine Arts Hamburg, from 2014 at the HafenCity University Hamburg. He is member of the German Academy of Urban and Regional Planning and the Academies of Fine Arts in Berlin, Saxony and Hamburg.

    Katarzyna Gruszecka-Spychala

    Port of Gdynia

    Katarzyna Gruszecka-Spychala is a seasoned professional with a robust background in public administration and local government. Currently serving as the Vice President of the Management Board of the Port of Gdynia, she continues to play a crucial role in driving strategic initiatives and fostering economic growth. As a qualified legal counsel, Katarzyna's expertise extends beyond public administration into the legal realm, where her analytical skills and attention to detail have been valuable. As the former Deputy Mayor of Gdynia, Katarzyna has been instrumental in spearheading numerous urban development projects, enhancing the quality of life for residents, and promoting sustainable growth. Her leadership in economic development and city planning has garnered significant recognition, including the prestigious Innovation in Politics Award in the Economy category, making her the first and only Polish female laureate to date. In addition to her governmental roles, Katarzyna has been actively involved with the Urban Land Institute (ULI) for many years, contributing to various initiatives and serving as one of the founders of the Waterfront Council within the organization. She is comitted to suport and promote leadership development, particularly among women, as a proud alumna of The Leadership Academy for Poland. Katarzyna i salso a member of the task force of the Spatial Development Commitee of the Polish Science Academy, where she contributes to national spatail development policies. Her dedication to public service, combined with her strategic vision and collaborative approach, reflects her commitment to sustainable urban development and economic innovation.

    Maciej Zielonka

    Deputy Mayor, City of Gdynia

    Born in 1985 in Gdynia, graduated from the First Academic High School in Gdynia. He holds a Master's degree in Spatial Management from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and a postgraduate diploma in Real Estate Valuation and Urban Spatial Development Management from the Gdańsk University of Technology. Spatial planner and real estate appraiser. His day-to-day work involved operational urban planning related to the construction investment process and property valuation. He worked in the Spatial Planning Office of the City of Gdynia, Pomeranian Regional Planning Office and in a private company in the power engineering construction sector. He also ran his own business. For years involved in social activities in Gdynia: member of the Young Democrats association, the Działki Leśne district council, the Miasto Wspólne (Common City) urban movement and the board of a large housing community in Mały Kack district. Organiser of numerous meetings, debates and workshops on spatial planning and the creation of space in Gdynia. Creator of websites dedicated to the city: gdynia.new.pl - on architecture and urban planning in Gdynia, and przestrzengdyni.pl - on spatial planning in the city. Author of three completed investment projects as part of the Civic Budget in Działki Leśne. Privately, a happy husband and father. Loves long walks with his dog. He is interested in sport - explores the area of the Tricity agglomeration on his bike: MTB, road and gravel. In his youth he was a junior player in the Arka Gdynia football team. He enjoys travelling around Poland and Europe.

    Jadwiga Kosinska

    Project Director, Stocznia Cesarska Development

    Jadwiga Kosińska has been involved in the real estate and construction industry for over twenty-five years. She is a graduate of Civil Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology and Executive MBA studies at the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign. She started her career at HOCHTIEF Polska as a Specialist in the Tender Department, progressing to the position of Head of the Tender Department, Project Manager, and ultimately Area Manager. In the years 2011-2017, she held the position of Construction Director at Vastint Poland and was responsible for managing and supporting both project teams and project managers, as well as organizing, controlling and coordinating activities related to the implementation of the company's investments. From 2017 to 2020 she was associated with HB Reavis Construction, and then acted as Branch Manager at cmT Sp. z o. o. The most important investments in which Jadwiga participated include: construction of the highest skyscraper in the European Union, the Varso Tower, construction of the Rondo ONZ skyscraper in Warsaw, construction of Business Garden complexes, modernization of the Gdańsk Refinery as part of the 10+ Program, construction of the Fashion House complex in Gdańsk and the implementation of Gdynia Waterfront in Gdynia. In April 2022, she took the position of Project Director at Stocznia Cesarska Development Sp. z o.o., where she manages the process of transforming the historic post-shipyard area in Gdańsk into a new, multifunctional district. Appointed to the Team of Economic Advisors to the Rector of the Gdańsk University of Technology for the period 2024-2028. Jadwiga finds a balance between her professional and private life in ceramics and practicing water sports.

    Radosław Kostka

    Acquisition Manager, Vastint Poland SP. Z.o.o.

    Architect and property valuer with 28 years of experience in the real estate market. A graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at Gdańsk University of Technology, he also completed postgraduate studies in investment management at the University of Gdańsk and computer design techniques at Dundee University in Scotland. He has worked in international consulting and development companies, gaining extensive knowledge in investment and real estate management. Since 2008, he has been associated with Vastint Poland, where he is responsible for acquiring new projects and properties for the group's investments in Poland.

    Chairman of Urban Land Institute in Poland since October 2023. Managing Partner and Vice President of the Board of Capital Park Group with over 20 years of professional experience in the real estate sector and with over 10 years experience in running of the company listed on Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE:CPG). Played strategic roles in Capital Park since its formation in 2003, starting as CFO and then as Head of Investment Department since 2006. Within Management Board responsible for areas of strategic business development, M&A, joint ventures and finance areas. Took part in over 100 transactions involving properties all across Poland, secured over €700m in bank financing and raised over €100m in bonds and shares issues on Polish capital market. Local partner to leading Private Equity Real Estate fund managers such as Patron Capital Partners and Madison International Realty on Polish market. Developer of Norblin Factory in Warsaw - the winner of ULI European and Global Awards for Excellence in 2022. Before joining Capital Park - CFO in Communication One Group / Call Center Poland SA – a leading Polish call/contact center outsourcing group. Until 2001 worked as management and information systems consultant and project leader. Member of the REIT Poland Association, the Polish Chamber of Commercial Real Estate (PINK) and the Foundation for Education and Research on REITs. Interested in large scale sustainable urban development projects, mixed-use, premium residential, conversions, brownfield regeneration and revitalization projects.

    Angelika Cieślowska

    President of the Management Board, Doraco

    Associated with the Hass Holding Group for over 25 years. As President of the Management Board of DORACO Group companies responsible for strategic development. Her expertise lies in building and mobilizing high-performing teams, corporate restructuring, and the implementation of effective business strategies. Under her leadership, the DORACO Construction Corporation has established its position as a significant player on the general contracting market in the following sectors: hydrotechnics, defense, infrastructure, revitalization and implements projects throughout Poland. She initiated the foundation of DORACO Investment – a developer implementing luxury investments in attractive locations. Successfully restructuring and taking over the management of the Hotel Haffner Company, she implemented strategic changes that enhanced operational efficiency and market positioning. Committed to empowering women in the construction industry, she serves as a mentor in the Top Women in Real Estate program. Moreover she works for benefit to improve the quality of education of personnel for the construction industry in Poland, participating in the work of the Consultative Council of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the Gdańsk University of Technology. She is also an engaged member of the Gdańsk Business Club Association. Her professional excellence has been recognized with numerous awards and distinctions, including the Optimus 2018 awarded by Employers of Poland, the Medal of the Centenary of Independence granted by the President of Gdańsk, and the Medal of Recognition for Long-Term Cooperation with the Gdańsk University of Technology. Beyond her corporate endeavors, she is deeply passionate about neurolinguistics and the boundless potential of the human mind.

    Izabela Disterheft

    Izabela Disterheft, M. SC. in Economics, Ambassador of ULI Poland in Tri-City. She has almost 20 years of experience across business development, property sales, lease and property management. Former Regional Director at Colliers. Her experience perfectly fits to the strategy of expanding the scope of advisory services "beyond Real Estate" and delivers extra added value to any operations and processes she undertakes. Before joining Colliers, Izabela worked as New Business Manager at Partners International Premium Real Estate Agency, CEO Interizon Foundation – the biggest Polish ICT Cluster and General Director of Gdańsk Science & Technology Park. She worked for Gdansk Economic Development Agency (InvestGDA) and was involved in acquiring new investors to Gdansk as well as for commercialising the company owned greenfiled: Technology & Industrial Park "Maszynowa". Izabela is also active in the academic world as Consultant at University of Gdansk and its Office for Analysis and Expertise's.
