    Nikos Vettas

    General Manager, Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research

    Nikos Vettas is the General Director of the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research - IOBE since 2013 and Professor of Economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) since 2003, where he has also served as the Chairman of the Economics Department and a member of the University Council. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, USA, and has been an Associate Professor at Duke University, USA, and a visiting Professor at INSEAD in France and Singapore. He serves as Associate Editor of the International Journal of Industrial Organization, a Research Fellow at CEPR, UK, and a member of the Executive Committee of the European Association for Research in Industrial Economics. He has served as an Associate Editor of the Journal of the European Economic Association and the Journal of Industrial Economics, a member of the Hellenic Competition Commission and the Economic Advisory Group for Competition Policy at the European Commission. He is a co-organizer of the annual Conference for Research on Economic Theory and Econometrics, since 2002. His research has been published in leading journals such as the International Economic Review, European Economic Review, Rand Journal of Economics, and the Review of Economic Studies. Co-editor of Beyond Austerity: Reforming the Greek Economy (MIT Press, 2017). Vice-Chairman of the Growth Plan Committee of the Hellenic Republic for the Greek Economy, 2020.

    Marinos Giannopoulos

    CEO, Enterprise Greece

    University London, with the thesis title: "Divesting assets and redeploying resources as predictors of the performance of acquisitions: The case of Greece." Prior to assuming his current duties as CEO of Enterprise Greece, he worked for more than a decade in the banking industry, both in Greece and abroad. He has extensive experience in managing credit risk in investment banking portfolios and participated in the management and consolidation of credit risk portfolios at financial institutions and companies in emerging Europe. Upon returning to Greece, he led the team at one of Greece’s leading banks responsible for facilitating in the implementation of Greece’s National Recovery and Resilience Fund − Greece 2.0 − while also liaising with European development bodies and Greek government agencies. He served as advisor to New Democracy’s Secretariat for International Relations & European Union from 2013 to 2019. He has been a member of various academic and professional committees and has been actively engaged in research and writing with numerous articles published in leading international journals, such as the Journal for Global Business Advancement and the International Journal of Business and Economic Sciences. At the same time, he also taught at Brunel University and the Hellenic Open University in the fields of Strategic Management and Business Economics.

    Konstantinos Papadopoulos

    Founder and Director, Resi Company

    Kostis Papadopoulos is the founder of Resi Company and currently resides in Athens, Greece where he has been investing in value-add residential since 2018. Prior to forming Resi Company, Kostis joined the Real Estate Department of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) in Abu Dhabi, UAE in 2014. Aside from numerous research and strategy projects that he led, Kostis formed part of a small team and was pivotal in creating and growing the department’s efforts in investing in listed real estate markets. Earlier, Kostis lived in London, UK and held research, forecasting and strategy roles in fund management company M&G Real Estate and consultancy DTZ. Kostis holds an MSc in Real Estate Investment from Cass Business School in London.

    Eri Mitsostergiou

    Eri is one of the lead directors of Impacts, Savills flagship global, cross-sector, research programme, assessing how economic, political, demographic and technological change are shaping global real estate markets today and in the years to come. Eri presents Savills Research in conferences, webinars, podcasts and is a regular contributor to the Savills blog. Due to her long experience in the international property markets, her opinions are frequently quoted in the international property press. She is a qualified Architect and has completed the MSc in European Property Development and Planning and the Investment Property Forum Diploma at the City Business School. She is currently the Chair of ULI Greece and Cyprus National Council and member of the Executive Committee of the European Research Group of ICSC. In addition she is a Mentor of the Savills Mentoring Scheme. She is fluent in Greek, English, Italian and German and has a good understanding of Spanish, Dutch and Romanian. She is currently based in Athens, working regularly from the London office and she has worked previously from the Savills offices in Amsterdam, Bucharest and London.

    Nikos Dimtsas

    CIO, Dimand SA

    Nikolaos-Ioannis Dimtsas is the CIO of DIMAND, holding extensive experience in financial management of companies as well as in the evaluation and implementation of investment plans and corporate transformations. In the period of 1997-2002 he was an Investor Relations Officer in the listed companies ETANE SA. and VETANET SA, from 2003-2005 he held the position of Financial Director of INTRADEVELOPMENT SA of the INTRACOM and INTRALOT Groups, while from 2005 to 2019 he was the General Manager of Financial and Administrative Activities of DIMAND A.E. Nikolaos-Ioannis Dimtsas is an Electrical Engineer & Computer Engineer, a graduate of the National Technical University of Athens, with a postgraduate degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Manchester Business School.

    Aristotelis Karytinos

    CEO, Prodea Investments

    Aristotelis Karytinos is the Chief Executive Officer of Prodea Investments, the leading real estate investment company in the region with assets of 2.9 bn. He possesses long standing experience in investment and banking through key positions both in the public and private sectors. Prior to his current position, from 2008 -2013 he was the General Manager - Real Estate of the National Bank of Greece Group. F r o m 1996 - 2 0 0 8 he held senior positions within Eurobank EFG Group, including Head of Group Real Estate, Head of Mortgage Lending and CEO of Eurobank Properties REIC ( later known as Grivalia REIC) , a company which he led into a successful IPO in 2006 and a subsequent rights issue in 2007, raising in total approximately €450 m. Aristotelis Karytinos holds a Doctorate (PhD) in Finance from the University of Warwick, UK and is a Fellow of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors ( FRICS) and Recognised European Valuer ( REV).

    Sophie Chick

    Head of Research, Urban Land Institute - Europe

    Sophie Chick runs the research and advisory services for ULI in Europe. She is responsible for developing and delivering original, objective research on a wide range of issues related to land use, climate change and sustainability, real estate development and investment, and the built environment. Prior to joining ULI, Sophie was the head of department for Savills World Research team and the lead researcher on ESG in the Urban Environment. Working across all property sectors, she delivered market leading research on global real estate markets and the international forces that shape them. Before her global role, she moved to Sydney, Australia in 2016 for two years, where she set up a residential research department for Savills. This role was followed by a period at Mirvac, an Australian owner and developer, which saw her working closely with the capital transaction team to best understand risks and opportunities for potential purchases and sales. Sophie began her career at Savills in 2010 in the UK residential research team.

    Paul Gomopoulos

    Senior Managing Director, Hines Europe Ltd

    Paul Gomopoulos joined Hines in 2006 in the Fund Management Group responsible for managing the two flagship Hines pan-European development funds with €1 billion of equity commitments as well as a fund focusing on Spanish residential. Mr. Gomopoulos is a Managing Director of the Investment Management team focusing on sourcing and executing real estate acquisitions and developments in all sectors across Europe. He served on the board of Porta Nuova, a 300,000- square-meter mixed-use project in central Milan. In 2011 he helped open the Hines office in Ireland to 110nalyzing110 on distressed real estate opportunities. Since 2012, Mr. Gomopoulos has been focused on the Greek market and identifying opportunities to invest and begin operations in the country. Mr. Gomopoulos has a degree in Economics from the University of Chicago and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
