ULI was engaged by Moscow’s Deputy Mayor Andrei Sharonov, to advise on how the expanding metropolis could establish itself as a leading global city.

A ULI Advisory Services Panel visited Moscow in December 2011 and undertook a six day visit which culminated in a presentation of its findings and recommendations at the Moscow Urban Forum.

The panel considered a range of issues including examining the city’s current expansion plans, advising on a strategy for redeveloping its former industrial zones and looked ways in which the underground metro system could be evolved.
