ULI NEXT Germany held its inaugural meeting on 27 April at the AEW offices in Frankfurt ahead of the ULI Germany Urban Leader Summit. 15 ULI members and guests attended the launch.

The ULI NEXT platform enables an uncomplicated exchange and networking among ULI members who have already gained several years of working experience in urban development and in the real estate industry. The initiative supports the ULI mission by identifying, connecting, and elevating the next generation of leaders for the real estate environment and ULI globally. It is made up of Associate or Full members between the ages of 35 and 45 who have exemplified leadership at work, and ideally within ULI.

At the breakfast meeting, participants had the chance to learn from senior leader Ralph Winter, Founder & Senior Advisor of CORESTATE Capital Group, and to interview him on his professional decision-making and career path.

“We felt very honoured that Ralph Winter gave us the opportunity to learn from his broad industry background and extensive experience”, said Oliver Prinz, ULI NEXT Europe Committee.

“The participants appreciated the direct exchange with a senior industry leader and we feel encouraged to continue with this kind of event”, said Thomas Leinberger, also of the ULI NEXT Europe Committee.

Along with the German kick-off and a gathering at MIPIM in Cannes, ULI NEXT already has an active membership in the UK. Additional groups are also being organised in Belgium, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, and Turkey.
