ULI Russia hosted an event in collaboration with Knight Frank and EY on July 2nd on real estate trends as an indicator of macroeconomic and investment trends. Darrell Stanaford, Chairman of ULI Russia, set the stage for the presentation and discussion with a welcoming word to the presenters and attendees.
Olga Arkhangelskaya, Partner and Head of Real Estate for EY in the CIS, started the presentation by addressing the current status of the Russian economy, including growth trends. She further applied those trends to the real estate asset classes across Russia and opened a discussion on where to expect investment and growth in the future.
The second part of the presentation was led by Maria Kotova, Partner and Executive Director for Knight Frank in the CIS. Maria presented the results of the 2014 Knight Frank Wealth Report, covering a broad aspect of intriguing trends, such as the growing prevalence of Ultra High Net Worth Individuals, where they live, where they invest, and how these trends impact the real estate industry. In closing, she explained in which part of the world Knight Frank sees growing investment opportunities.
The attendees received an insightful overview of global and Russian investment trends. After the event they engaged in informal conversations about how the trends affect their own business opportunities and niches within the real estate industry.
