Last week, the eight teams of finalists were announced from a diverse array of academic institutions across Europe. The virtual final will take place on Wednesday 21st April providing students with a unique opportunity to gain real life experience to test their skills and knowledge about real estate and land-use in a practical case study about the changing shape of office environments. The winning team members will receive:
- a fast-track to the Hines internship programme;
- a guided tour of a live project and participation in project meetings in Hines’ European offices (as travel restrictions allow); and,
- a one-year ULI membership – providing access to research content, events, webinars, education and mentorship programmes, knowledge sharing and connections with a multidisciplinary global network of real estate and land use professionals.
The finalists will be put through their paces by a competition jury consisting of:

- Audun Opdal, Senior Partner, Head of Design, 3xn
- Lisette van Doorn, CEO – Europe, ULI

The finalists feature groups of students from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark; EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht, Germany; IESE Business School, Spain; INSEAD, France; London Business School, United Kingdom; Politecnico di Milano, Italy; Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain; and University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. The winning team will be announced on the day.
