ULI Europe launches its 15th European National Council in Denmark and appoints Jesper Bo Hansen, Catella, as the new Chair
Macdonald & Company and Urban Land Institute (ULI) have announced that ULI has joined Macdonald & Company’s Accelerating Careers in Real Estate podcast as a new partner. The podcast has been broadcasting for over six months with more than 20 episodes already available. ULI is the oldest and largest network of cross-disciplinary real estate and land use experts in the world with more than 45,000 global members. The new partnership will help bring the podcast to a new and more diverse international audience, including stories from ULI’s own members on how they have accelerated their careers.
Podcast host, Nick Carman, said: “We have shared the stories and lessons learned by some of the industry’s best-known names in real estate and I hope to have inspired many thousands of our listeners to what opportunities exist and how others have created these for themselves.”
Carman, who is also director at Macdonald & Company, added: “Partnering with the Urban Land Institute will help bring the podcast to a new and greater international audience. I am really proud of this personally but also what it means for the industry by bringing together two of the leading voices in their respective fields to collaborate on this.”
“The main tenet of the Accelerating Careers in Real Estate podcast is learning from the experiences and navigations of those who have excelled in their field. From my experience interviewing thousands of Real Estate professionals, when the initial chapter of learning and development ends, our career acceleration eventually slows; this often leads to complacency and frustration. As our careers mature, how can we create opportunities for ourselves to reignite another chapter of acceleration? The ULI’s ethos of mentoring, education and personal development makes them an ideal collaborator on our podcast.”
Lisette van Doorn, CEO of ULI Europe, said: “The Accelerating Careers in Real Estate podcast is a great example of ULI’s focus on the sharing of knowledge and experience, across disciplines, geographies and generations, as well as to engage industry professionals in our mission to create and sustain thriving communities worldwide. There are many reasons why people join ULI, whether it be to build their career or business; connect with the industry’s best and brightest; or to access thought leadership on a variety of themes or case studies. We look forward to welcoming new members in the near future to help us make a genuine impact by volunteering, contributing or leading on industry initiatives.”
ULI has over 4,000 members in Europe across 15 National Council country networks, including the U.K. More details about ULI’s latest events, programmes and research projects can be found by visiting europe.uli.org.
