Safe havens and strong tailwinds: how some investor appetites are shifting following April’s US tariffs
How are the wide-ranging tariffs introduced by the US administratation affecting decisions around real estate and capital raising?
The Urban Land Institute (ULI) has announced the appointment of Jan W. Peter as Chief Operating Officer for the Europe region, commencing 1 May 2025. He brings around 20 years of relevant experience and leadership in the real estate sector.
Jan joins ULI, the world’s oldest and largest membership network for built environment professionals, from CoreNet Global where for nearly eight years he was Vice President, Global Operations, based in Atlanta. Prior to this, he was an entrepreneur in residential real estate investment, and before that held various leadership roles with flexible workspace operator Regus over nearly seven years. He commenced his career in the leisure and hospitality sector, including roles with Princess Cruises, and Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts.
Reporting to the CEO for Europe, and based in London, he will play a significant role in enhancing the experience and value proposition for members in Europe, further refining the delivery of ULI’s events and programmes across the region, the member journey when engaging with ULI and achieving efficiencies for the team to be able to focus more on the needs of members. He will oversee ULI Europe’s member networks (National and Product Councils, Young Leaders and NEXT groups), events and programmes, marketing and communications, and finance and governance.
