    Gilda Hernandez-Maskivker

    Director of the Tourism & Hospitality Department, IQS School of Management

    IQS School of Management, Director of the Tourism & Hospitality Department Gilda Hernandez-Maskivker es Doctora en Turismo y Ocio por la Universidad Rovira i Virgili (URV), Tarragona. Tiene un grado en Turismo y una Maestría en Técnicas de Análisis e Innovación en Turismo. Ha sido profesora invitada en diferentes universidades del mundo y ha realizado una estancia de investigación en la Universidad de California, Long Beach (EE. UU). Actualmente es la directora del Departamento de Turismo y Dirección Hotelera en la IQS School of Management (Universitat Ramon Llull, Barcelona) y directora de la Cátedra de Turismo, Sostenibilidad e Innovación (IQS-URL). Sus principales líneas de investigación se centran en el estudio del comportamiento del turista, el márketing turístico y el turismo sostenible. Ha sido ponente en diversas conferencias nacionales e internacionales y cuenta con numerosas publicaciones científicas y capítulos de libros. Gilda Hernandez-Maskivker hold a PhD in Tourism and Leisure from the Rovira i Virgili University (URV), Tarragona, Spain. She also has a degree in Tourism and a Master's Degree in Analysis Techniques and Innovation in Tourism. She was a visiting professor at different universities worldwide such us The Maldives National University or Calabria University. In 2013 completed a research stay at California State University Long Beach (USA). Currently, she is the Director of the Tourism & Hospitality Department at the IQS School of Management (Ramon Llull University) and director of the Chair in Tourism, Sustainability and Innovation (IOQS-URL). She was Director of Official Masters in Hotel Management and Innovation in Hospitality at the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Sant Ignasi, Ramón Llull University, Barcelona. Hernandez-Maskivker is lecturer in tourism marketing and research methods. Her main research lines are on consumer behavior, tourism marketing and sustainable tourism. She has participated in numerous seminars and conferences, and published papers in high impact journals.

    Eric Jafari

    Managing Director and Founder, AENDRE

    Eric Jafari is the Managing Director and founder of AENDRE Limited, a London based Interdisciplinary Development Studio that creates real-estate backed hospitality brands across UK and Europe. Prior to launching AENDRE, Eric served as Chief Development Officer and Creative Director for edyn Group, a Brookfield subsidiary – as well as its co-founder. Whilst at edyn, Eric oversaw a £1.5bil+ Pan-European development and investment portfolio. Eric was responsible for managing the organization’s acquisition, planning, construction, finance, design, F&B and creative direction for all edyn properties across the United Kingdom, France, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark and Portugal. Prior to joining edyn, Eric Jafari was Co-Founder and Managing Director to Union Hanover Securities where he oversaw a £400+mil development portfolio. Eric and his team were brought in by Oaktree Capital Management in 2015 to reposition SACO / CLSA’s real estate platform portfolio in 2015, which was eventually successfully sold to Brookfield in 2018. Eric and his family reside in London, United Kingdom.
