In February 2018, ULI Europe convened a two-day advisory workshop in Gdynia, Poland. The city is in the midst of a major waterfront regeneration project, Sea City, that will see the conversion of 71 hectares of waterfront land integrated into the adjacent city centre. The city has direct control over only one part of this development, the one-hectare site at the end of the old Fishing Pier.
ULI advisers have written a report offering recommendations on maximising the benefits to the city from the redevelopment of its waterfront, aligning the actions of the many stakeholders involved in the project, and attracting investment.
