The first ULI Netherlands Conference and Award Dinner was held on 29 June 2017 at De Hermitage in Amsterdam. The conference explored how changes in urban mobility, innovation, technology, the sharing economy and circularity have an impact on urban regeneration and development.
Speakers included Prof.ir. R.J Dijkstra, Professor of Urban Design, TU Delft; Professor Urban Design; Niek van Leeuwen, General Manager Uber Benelux and Marketing Strategy Director EMEA; Michel Mossessian, Design Principal, Mossessian Architecture; Eugen Antalovsky, Managing Director at TINA Vienna GmbH; and Nicolas Bearelle, CEO, Re-vive. During the conference, the inaugural ULI Netherlands Award for Outstanding Urban (re)Development was given to Peter van der Gugten, Director of Heijmans Vastgoed, for his substantial contribution to area development in the Netherlands.
