    Tess Pula

    Macquarie Asset Management Real Estate

    Tess Pula leads Macquarie Asset Management’s (MAM) global ESG approach for real estate assets. A primary focus of her work is establishing the net zero pathway for all real estate globally, including both direct investment funds and portfolio company holdings. She coordinates the implementation of ESG strategy across MAM’s real estate businesses, including advising on strategy for new products, alignment with regulation and internal commitments, and production of best practice guidelines and training resources to support empowerment of portfolio and asset management teams. Previously, Tess worked as a portfolio manager for assets in Australia and Europe at Macquarie and a consultant for urban climate resilience and economic development at HR&A Advisors in New York. Tess holds a Master of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with distinction, as well as a BA from Bryn Mawr College in Growth and Structure of Cities (Magna cum Laude). She holds a LEED Green Associate credential and is a member of the ULI Europe Young Leaders Executive Committee.

    Alex Gebauer

    Board Member, PIMCO Prime Real Estate

    Alexander Gebauer is the Chief Executive Officer for Allianz Real Estate West Europe. He is a member of the Executive Committee and a voting member of the Equity Investment Committee. Prior to this position Alexander was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Allianz Real Estate and Chief Executive Officer at Allianz Real Estate France. Before joining Allianz Real Estate in 2009, Alexander held several roles within the Allianz Group including Project Leader Strategic Workforce Planning at Allianz SE, Director of Human Resources Germany for Allianz Deutschland AG and Head of the Chairman's Office at Allianz Lebensversicherungs-AG. Alexander is a member of the European Executive Committee of ULI. He graduated from Law Studies at Freie Universität Berlin and from the Federal University for Public Administration Berlin.

    Michael Izzo

    Vice President-Carbon Strategy, Hines

    Michael Izzo is the firm’s Vice President, Carbon Strategy responsible for leading Hines’ efforts to assess its carbon emissions and develop the strategy to set and achieve the firm’s science-based targets. He engages regularly with the firm’s global teams to provide strategic leadership and ensure continuity and the successful progression on the firm’s strategy and commitments and help lead the industry’s carbon emissions response. Prior to this global role, Izzo most recently served as Vice President-Construction, working closely with the New York project team to evaluate climate change impact and risk on the existing Hudson Square building portfolio. Before joining Hines in 2017, Izzo spent more than 14 years in various engineering roles.

    Thomas Beyerle

    Head of Group Research, Catella Real Estate AG

    Thomas Beyerle is the Managing Director of Catella Property Valuation GmbH as well as the Head of Group Research for the Catella group. At the Biberach University of Applied Sciences he holds a chair in real estate research. Thomas, Phd and graduated geographer, studied geography and business management at the universities of Stuttgart and Mannheim. Over the past 24 years he has held several management positions in real estate companies, including Dresdner Bank, DEGI, Aberdeen Property Investors & IVG Immobilien AG. Furthermore, he is a speaker at renowned real-estate congresses and author of numerous articles and textbooks. He is voluntarily involved with the ZIA Zentraler Immobilienausschuss, the ULI Urban Land Institute and gif Gesellschaft für immobilienwirtschaftliche Forschung, of which he has been president since 5/2021.
