Albertini Petroni plans to leverage the expertise of ULI members to tackle real estate challenges in Italian cities
MILAN (2 July 2018) — Davide Albertini Petroni, Managing Director of Risanamento S.p.A, has been appointed as the next Chair of ULI Italy. Albertini Petroni officially began his term on 1 July 2018 and will serve on a voluntary basis for the next two years.
One of Albertini Petroni’s priorities as Chair of ULI Italy is to increase ULI’s outreach to Italian cities. “At the moment, many Italian cities are working on strategic development plans to attract and facilitate investments,” he said. “By expanding our relationships with the leadership of these cities, ULI Italy can share our global expertise and foster productive dialogues to help improve their investment strategies.”
Albertini Petroni also sees potential for ULI Italy to help solve Italy’s residential challenges, such as affordability and lack of a professional rental market. “I believe we can and should leverage our members’ international experience to find solutions to the problems that arise from the current model and involve more institutional investors in residential.”
Further strengthening and increasing the involvement of the ULI Italy Executive Committee is also a key objective for Albertini Petroni. Under his leadership, the Executive Committee will have an even more active role in planning events and programmes, contributing original content, and collecting feedback from members on their preferred topics and activities.
“Davide’s keen understanding of the Italian real estate landscape and his support and enthusiasm for ULI’s core values make him an excellent choice to lead ULI Italy,” said Lisette van Doorn, CEO of ULI Europe. “I look forward to working with him to further develop ULI in Italy.”
Albertini Petroni succeeds Giancarlo Scotti, CEO of GCS & Partners. Albertini Petroni has been a member of ULI for six years and is a member of the ULI Europe Residential Council.
Prior to working for Risanamento S.p.A, Albertini Petroni was Development Director at IPI, a real estate company in the FIAT Group.
