The ULI Europe Executive Committee has selected Madrid as the host city of the ULI Europe Young Leaders Autumn Study Tour, which takes place in September 2022.
Spain’s capital city triumphed from among a shortlist of potential city locations including Athens, Greece; London, UK; Paris, France; and Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
An impressive bid was submitted to secure Madrid’s place, promising an exciting city tour focusing on how heritage, lifestyle and environmental consciousness are powering its ongoing transformation as a competitive world city, including through large-scale disruptive urban projects that are exemplar examples of urban transformation.
Madrid was recently ranked the sixth highest ‘markets to watch’ in the Emerging Trends in Real Estate® Europe 2022 report, rising two places since last year to rival the leading German cities. Interviewees pointed out that Madrid offers good opportunities across sectors including residential and logistics, and a strong office market.
The Autumn Study Tour provides a strong opportunity to celebrate one of Europe’s many great cities, as well as showcase innovative real estate projects to an international community of Young Leaders.
The event also enables members to build or leverage partnerships with academics, meet senior industry professionals, and continue professional development and great networking with peers from across Europe.
This year’s tour will pull together a range of speakers exploring themes of Future in Cities & Mobility, Transformation in Real Estate, Public-Private Sectors Collaboration & ESG.Further details of the Madrid event will be revealed in due course.
