Following last month’s announcement from Urban Land Institute (ULI) of the appointment of Jack Renteria as the new Danish National Chair, ULI Denmark is pleased to announce the appointment of Neal S. Hollingsworth, Nrep, and Sidsel Olesen, Bruun & Hjejle, as new Co-Chairs of ULI Denmark Young Leaders.
Neal and Sidsel succeed Nadim Stub, Group Vice President at Deas, and Søren Kopp, Partner and Head of the Real Estate Department at Bruun & Hjejle Law Firm, who from 2021 led the establishment of Young Leaders within ULI Denmark as respectively Chair and Vice Chair.
Neal Hollingsworth currently works as a Manager at Nrep, which is part of Urban Partners, where he serves the Investment Committee on matters relating to investment strategy and approval governance. This includes assisting in formulating Nrep’s market view and overseeing the investment approval process design and operations.
Sidsel Olesen is the strategic coordinator for Bruun & Hjejle’s real estate department, where she supports the partner group in business development, strategy, and department management. Sidsel plays a key role in supporting and advising the Head of Department, Søren Kopp, in his day-to-day management tasks, and together they are responsible for the department’s communication within and outside the organization. Sidsel also assists with project management of strategic projects, strategic planning and onboarding/offboarding processes.
Reflecting on their appointment, Neal and Sidsel shared, “One of our goals is to build bridges across various professions and profiles, helping Young Leaders grow through professional content and benefitting from meeting industry peers. We come to the work from various positions within the industry and thus perceive challenges from different perspectives to the benefit of our results and it exemplifies the cross-functional focus we want to bring. Additionally, we share the ambition of Jack Renteria, Chair of ULI Denmark, to leverage ULI’s international network for local members such as by bringing global best practices to Denmark and paving the way for Young Leaders’ international opportunities”.
Jack Renteria, Director of Living Concepts at Alfa Development and Chair of ULI Denmark, remarks, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Nadim Stub, outgoing Chair, and Søren Kopp, outgoing Vice Chair, for their considerable commitment and commendable work over the past three years in laying the foundation for the ULI Young Leaders Network in Denmark. I would also like to congratulate Neal Hollingsworth and Sidsel Olesen on their new roles as Co-Chairs. I look forward to working closer with them and am confident that Neal and Sidsel are the ideal profiles to take over, given the energy and commitment they have already brought to their roles on the Young Leaders Executive Committee. Neal and Sidsel have both shown great initiative and dedication and have led several successful initiatives in recent years to grow the ULI network in Denmark, foster collaboration with our National Council and link the network to the international aspects of ULI.”
